FAQs

My moto is always food first when it comes to getting vital nutrients. However, sometimes we need extra support in the form of supplementation. Whether it’s because you have sensitivities or just don’t like the food the nutrient is rich in, or maybe genetically you require more of a certain nutrient, supplementing can be a valuable addition to our nutrient needs.

A good supplement is one that is without fillers or preservatives. If animal products are required for the supplement, grass fed is best. A supplement with a glyphosate free label is also a plus. Essentially, the less the ingredients the better. If you don’t recognize an ingredient, it’s likely some form of additive and best to avoid. There are many greasy whole food supplements on the market these days that check all these boxes!

I am not in the supplement selling business. My recommendations are tried and true, clean, and as “whole food” as I can find. The links I have allow my clients to receive special discounts, but I am not “pushing” products.

When finding budget friendly supplements, I also try to find supplements that meet multiple needs. Two that come to mind are Spirulina and Baobab fruit. Both are super foods that are rich in amino acids, fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.
